For work on Tuesday, I wore a polka dot tee from Forever 21 and a black knotted skirt by Aqua. The shirt is very comfortable and versatile. It was a great find at only $10! The skirt is great if you want an all-black skirt with something extra. It's also very flattering, because it brings attention to the waist. I thought a nude sandal would look good against the black and white, so I chose these nude sandals by Maiden Lane (purchased on Gilt). The nail polish is Watermelon by Essie.

For work yesterday, I wore this black sleeveless blouse from H&M, J. Crew pixie pants and J. Crew color block jacket. All three pieces are favorite staples of mine. The jacket looks great open or closed and has a Chanel feel to it. Both the blouse and pants are super versatile. The blouse is the perfect length in that it can be worn tucked in or loose. To finish the look, I chose a simple pair of H&M flip flops (not too casual), with rhinestone earrings from Forever 21 (no longer available) and my favorite unisex watch

For work today, I wore this linen v-neck tee from J. Crew, skinny jeans by AG (purchased on Gilt) and spiky flats from Aldo. The comfortable, casual tee sits like a blouse because of the way the fabric drapes. The jeans are super comfortable and, as usual, I folded them under for a neater look. The flats have a fun edge to them, and their soft neutral color makes them so versatile. Plus, I love the pale pink against the white and navy palette. My red nail polish (Fifth Avenue by Essie) provides the perfect pop of color. All in all, the outfit contains multiple staple pieces that provide an effortless feel without being too staid.

For work today, I wore this polka dot sleeveless blouse, black cardigan, and light blue wool skirt (all from J. Crew). I love black, white and blue together, so I thought this would be a fun (but not too loud) ensemble. The petite-sized skirt is the perfect length for work. The Maiden Lane black sandals are the perfect medium between casual and dressy. My favorite details of this outfit are the red nail polish (Fifth Avenue by Essie, my new favorite color!), and the delicate wishbone bracelet (purchased at a Manhattan jewelry boutique). The sparkly earrings from Forever 21 provide the perfect finishing touch.

Yesterday I wore this studded denim vest from Forever 21, with a ribbon-collared shirt from J. Crew and black skirt by Aqua. Originally, I was going to wear a white tee, but I decided that longer sleeves and a pale pastel would look better. I love this vest because of its light wash and toned-down embellishments. Because I wore this outfit to work, I opted for my favorite BCBG flats. A black suede or leather flip flop would be great for a less formal environment.

For work yesterday, I wore this Deletta blouse from Anthropologie, with a studded cardigan from J. Crew and black skirt from H&M. I thought the detailing on the cardigan and blouse nicely balanced the neutral color palette of the outfit. Similarly, the black BCBG flats are solid black, but hardly plain. The length of the skirt works nicely with the long sweater. Finally, my purple nail polish (Big Spender by Essie) provides the perfect pop of color!

For work today, I wore these pink skinny jeans by Rich & Skinny, with an embellished J. Crew Collection sweatshirt and striped long-sleeve tee from Kain. The long-sleeve tee adds some fun to the outfit, and the layering prevents the sweatshirt from looking too boxy. The sweatshirt can be dressed up or down, and it pairs nicely with the closely-fitted jeans. Today was super rainy in NYC, so I went with my classic black Hunter boots. My nail polish is Essie's Watermelon.
